If you’ve seen it, you might recognize this piece from the recent remarkable new film by Lars Von Trier: Melancholia.
I am sure I’ve posted this piece before, but before the film and even more so after, I have felt it totally encapsulates the whole of very real, very relatable emotional state— a definitively human narrative carried along by resoundingly disparate resonance. i can hear echos of a constant inner turmoil; a struggle to understand and reconcile the endless wonder and perpetual pain of being alive.
Don’t despair. You have you, and that’s all you’ll ever have and that’s all you’ll ever need.
